Auto Body Technician

Overview

Responsibilities

• Repair damaged vehicle body panels, frames, and structural components.
• Remove, replace, and align body panels, bumpers, doors, fenders, and other vehicle components.
• Perform dent repairs using appropriate repair techniques.
• Prepare vehicles for painting by sanding, masking, filling, and priming surfaces.
• Operate frame straightening and measuring equipment.
• Read and interpret repair estimates and manufacturer repair procedures.
• Inspect completed repairs to ensure they meet quality and safety standards.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Work collaboratively with estimators, painters, and other team members to ensure timely repairs.
• Follow all workplace health and safety policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• Licensed Auto Body Technician or equivalent experience.
• Experience working in a collision repair facility.
• Strong knowledge of vehicle construction, repair techniques, and industry standards.
• Ability to use body repair tools and equipment safely and effectively.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Valid driver’s licence with a clean driving record.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
